The weekend is upon us! #tgif Thinking of getting out and exploring? Where are some of your favorite solo destinations to travel to locally or abroad?? . I think my favorite solo trip so far has been to Barcelona, Spain! Okay maybe it’s tied with Paris lol but Barcelona is such a great city to explore with lots of history, city life, restaurants, the beach and more! Ojai Reflections... I kicked off my birthday weekend with a solo day-trip to Ojai, CA and it was just what I needed! I decided to check out this cute town nestled in a scenic valley thirty miles east of Santa Barbara thanks to @girldiscoverers blog who highlighted Ojai, CA among their list of “The Best Small Town in Each State.” Have you been? It definitely has Palm Springs vibes. 🌵 [Recap in story highlights] 🌵 While my sense of exploration for new countries is alive and well, my sense of adventure tends to be somewhat limited for my current residence, regardless of where I’m living. And I currently live in Los Angeles which has tons to see and do! This year I told myself I wanted to stay put and explore more of LA and the surrounding areas. After a crazy year of travel last year my goal this year is to be more present in the city that I’m living in. Too often I get caught up with work and other responsibilities that I forget to live in the moment and explore the city thats in my own backyard. It’s already been 7.5 years since I’ve lived in Los Angeles and I haven’t even scratched the surface. Without fail, life becomes routine and my tendency is to just live in the convenience of what I know, usually within the confines of my little neighborhood. So with another year of life I’m taking the opportunity to get out there and explore my city, take nearby road trips and just be a tourist in the city that I’m living in! Because who knows how long I’ll be in this city let alone state 😉 and sometimes you have to explore #solo because who has time to put things on hold for other people 🤷🏾‍♀️ . .
