Want to know how I took my travels to the next level❓✈️🌎 . How I went from I wish I could travel more but these bills won’t let me live...to globetrotting at any chance I got...on my own dime at that... . It’s easier than you think. . I simply decided that travel was a priority and my actions followed. I saved my PTO days, started purchasing experiences instead of material things, and simply built in trips into my annual plans and goals ❤️ . “Life is a series of baby steps” - @hodakotb Story of my life!! . . I was not the girl that had a life long dream of being one specific thing as a grown up, which made it hard at times to pick a major or career. BUT I always had a next step, a baby step, that led me to my next adventure and for that I’m grateful. . As one step led to the other, they also naturally and progressively built off each other. Looking back I could see how each decision and step worked together for my good (insert @travisgreenetv song)! I think by knowing and focusing on my next step it allowed me to be flexible to opportunities as they came rather than sticking to one path I felt like I HAD to follow. . . Don’t get me wrong, some people know at an early age what they want to do in life and sometimes the steps for that path are rigid but in my case there are times when I’ve decided to go in one direction but when it doesn’t feel right I’ve allowed myself to pivot. . I think that’s why I enjoy hiking!! It’s literally one step at a time at your own pace, you can stick to the path you know or veer off and try a new one! My favorite place to hike in #losangeles is @griffithobservatory ❤️ you get beautiful views of the city, the Hollywood sign, and you can explore the observatory if you like. . Little by little life happens as you take each step! What’s you’re next baby step? So much can happen in a year, make it count!! . . 2019 is coming to a close but we still have 30 days to accomplish what we’ve set out to do! Have you ever visited a place and said, “I could live here”❗️🙋🏾‍♀️ . This rarely happens for me but upon visiting Amsterdam a couple of years ago I literally said those words. I absolutely loved it! A surprising feeling for me because of all the things I associated with the city before visiting and never had a strong desire to visit in the first place but it was so charming I couldn’t help but see myself living there. . I loved all the cute cafes, canals, and how everyone bikes everywhere, even in the rain!! And honestly the only downside is the weather for me, it’s just too similar to Seattle weather which is why I escaped to Los Angeles in the first place 😆. . . I’m not sure that I would actually up and move but it’s nice to know that there’s options of cities throughout the world that I can see myself in. When your vibe matches a city’s vibe its the perfect fit. The only other place I could see myself living in at the moment is San Diego 🤷🏾‍♀️ . . Missing this view from @janshotelbelize on the peaceful island of📍Caye Caulker, Belize #tbt . Save this post if your looking for the perfect place to stay for an #unbelizeable getaway! Caye Caulker is a solo travelers paradise and Jan’s Hotel made my stay that much more effortless. How? They arranged my transportation, 3 different segments, for my entire stay and I just had to show up!! . . To start I had a driver waiting for me at the airport who took me to Belize City where I then caught a water taxi to the island. He gave me my pre-reserved water taxi tickets on the spot so I just hopped on the boat. And once I arrived to Caye Caulker (45 min boat ride), the hotel provided a courtesy pick-up via golf cart to the hotel. I mean this was the easiest transportation experience I’ve ever had! I recommend booking this beachfront hotel because of every detail they took care of for me while traveling #solo ❤️🙌🏾 . .
